At GCEF, we firmly believe that education, innovation and diversity serves as the backbone to solving many problems. Our goal is to mentor, support and collaborate with local stakeholders across private and public sectors for the enrichment of the Folsom community. Our events are gearedtowrds expanding the economic development of the greater Folsom community by uplifting entrepreneurs, small business owners and students.
DVLPR: January 2023 - Granite City Event Center, Folsom, CA. We're excited to start a coding Bootcamp, which will help support growing demand for software engineers in our region. We are partnering with a local creative dev agency, FYC, and their new program DVLPR. They will provide a holistic curriculum including core fundamentals in software development and practical hands-on training. Students will "ship software" and those projects are the metric to measure student performance. Students who complete the program will receive a certification from GCEF that can be used in applying for jobs. Our network of organizations affiliated with GCEF will have priority interview access to certified software engineers.
